Well, having run out of excuses why I have not done much artwork of late, I decided that the beautiful ocean-hued silk ribbons ordered from
Nina Designs were begging attention. It's been a while since my jewelry-making tools and supplies were used but it was very relaxing to get back in the groove. The pendant on the lower part of the necklace is a beautiful little antique Victorian compass that made it's way to my door from London.

I have always loved vintage jewelry - knowing that it was hand made and took so long to make, makes it feel more perishable.

OMG Deb... this is right up my alley. I love it. So glad to see you back in the swing! I take my stack of bead boxes out for "therapy" whenever life starts to feel over the top.
This piece is gorgeous!!
Your dogs are hysterical. I have big and little dog too, though little is my granddogger. She is living with us, and she always thinks she is in charge.
