Skeletons in the closet

          Pbj

Artist extraordianaire Jen, over at A Mark in Time, has tagged me to name 7 weird things about myself. Here you go... warts and all!

1. I love clam chowder, but can only eat it if I have a peanut butter sandwich to go with it.

2. I am a pretty good cook but can not make a pie crust to save myself. Seriously - the only one I ever made ended up on the kitchen floor.

3. When I sit in a restaurant or any other public place I have to sit against the wall, facing the door or I get very anxious. Afraid of someone creeping up on me I guess - lol!

4. My pets have always lived unusually long lives... cats to 21 years, dogs to 15, bunnies to 7 and a cute little hamster to 4 (long for a hamster apparantly). They do get a whole lot of TLC.

5. I do not like "drop in" company. I really wish I did... but I am always sure the house isn't clean enough (leftovers from Mom - her house was always perfect!). I keep telling myself they are there to see me and not my dust bunnies - but there you are.

6. My Mom used to call me Petunia when I was small, but when I was about 6 years old I told her that petunias stink... so she changed it to Daisy and called me that until she passed away.

7. When we have a snow storm I wake up early to turn the news on to see if school is canceled in town. Of course my boys are 24 and 28 years old... old habits die hard.

Gee - that was a just a little too easy - and I could keep going on with no problem!

Instead of challenging 7 others to bare their souls, I would love to have every visitor to my blog leave a comment here with just one little weird thing about themselves. Inquiring minds want to know! xox Deb

Something weird about me? I can't fall asleep if my feet are cold and I have to have the covers up to my neck even when it's hot out.

Well, where do I start, - no snowstorms here in Scotland, I hate clam chowder and p'nut butter sandwiches, I love unexpected visitors and try to be very brave about the dust flakes, I love cooking (and think i am quite good at it) can't bake to save myself though, all my cakes fail miserably.
LOVE YOU R BLOG AND YOUR STUFF)

OMG I do the same when it snows or ices outside. Wish work would cancel like school did! Cute ones on your list.

I solved the drop in of visitors problem. I tell friends, If you want to visit my HOUSE, call two weeks in advance. If you want to visit ME, come on in!

Weirdness: I love baked potatoes topped with peas and blue cheese dressing.

My Mom calls me Pumpkin, I have to have a blueberry bagel before I go to bed at night, and I eat everything on my plate clockwise. Now, seriously, I love your blog. I am 12 and I just wanted you to know how much fun stuff you have on your blog. I have a jewelry business and I just started a site on ETSY and a blog about my work. I'll be checking back for more inspiration from you. Cambria

My guess is that if I get started, I, too, will have an endless list...

Let's see...

For the first three or four years of my life, I wanted nothing more than to turn into a horse. I remember the moment when I realized that it would never happen; that I was stuck being a girl FOREVER. I was heartbroken.

Thanks for sharing!!

Let's see...I name all my cars. Right now we have a Subaru named "Ruby" and a van called "Rocket". Have a wonderful weekend!

I love your list of weirdness! Not bad at all!

Let's see - I have a long list myself, however, I'll share one: When I receive a gift, I have to write a "thank-you" note before I can enjoy my present!

Hugs,

Sara

Buaaaa,

I never saw snow in my life...

Have a good week :o)

I love the chowder n peanut butter thing!! lol
-I am a magazine addict but will not even peek at it til all the papers and perfume things are all ripped out of it.

Peanut butter and clam chowder? I am cracking up over here...that is just too funny! Well, let's see there are quite a few weird things I could list about me, but I'll just mention one - I wear contacts, but I sleep with my glasses on. I'm not kidding. I have no clue where that comes from, but I have lost them several times in the covers.

Hmmmmm....

There are so many weirdnesses I don't know where to begin.

I love the smell of Liquid Nails.

I could care less about eating ice cream. :)

i can't make pie crust either!!! and i like having my back to the wall in restaurants too!! how funny!!
hope you are well sweetie--it's been too long since i've been in touch--sorry
much love

I make up nicknames for family members and pets...and they all (pets included) end up answering by these silly names ;)

I'm a coffee addict, but can only drink it with peanut toast.
If I'd like honey on toast, I must have tea.
If I want cheeze wiz on toast, I must have hot chocolate.
I can't have anything alcoholic with my food or it will ruin the taste...

Have a good weekend!

When I start a new book or magazine, I always start from the back!

I can eat clam chowder by itself, but I like to have a glass of milk whenever I make spaghetti.

Joanne
